Our History

Founder, Horace Neil Rideau, began his career in the Landscape and Irrigation Industry as a teenager where he became a student of the business and developed a passion for sales and customer service. In 1982, he established, Neil's Lawn Sprinkler Service, on a part-time basis, and became certified as a Licensed Landscape Irrigator by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Over the next 18 years Neil's Lawn Sprinkler Service completed hundreds of state of the art landscaping projects in Harris County and surrounding areas, and gained a reputation as the premier provider for residential outdoor needs.

In 2002, Neil began operating the business full-time to better serve residential clients and expand to service commercial accounts. An enhanced portfolio of offerings and increased sale prompted the company to be renamed in 2008 as Baytown Landscaping & Construction.
